Accessibility Statement

We want every patient and family on Maui to be able to use this site. Here is where we stand and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

01.Our Commitment

Maui Braces Orthodontics is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including patients and families who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is part of how we treat people, not a box to check.

02.Visiting Our Offices

Kahului — 285 W Kaahumanu Ave, Suite 220. Accessible parking. The route from the parking area to the building is step-free, with a permanent ramp and elevator access up to Suite 220. Our suite door is a manual pull, so call us when you arrive and a member of our team will meet you at the door.

Makawao — 1037 Makawao Ave. Four accessible parking spaces and a permanent ramp. The door is a manual pull, so call us when you arrive and a member of our team will meet you at the door.

Both offices have an accessible restroom and room in the waiting area for wheelchairs and mobility devices. Treatment can be provided without transferring out of a wheelchair, and our team can help with transfers if you would like assistance.

Service animals are welcome. Large-print and read-aloud forms are available on request.

03.Standard We Work Toward

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard. These guidelines are the widely accepted benchmark for making web content accessible to people with a broad range of disabilities.

We treat this as a target we are actively working toward rather than a claim about the site's current state. Our site changes regularly, and we review accessibility as part of that work.

04.Third-Party Content

Some parts of our site are provided by outside services, including our patient review display and the appointment and referral forms. We chose these tools to serve patients well, but we do not control their code and cannot guarantee their accessibility. If one of them prevents you from completing something, please contact us and we will help you directly by phone or in person.

05.Tell Us About a Barrier

If you have trouble using any part of this website, we want to hear about it. Your report helps us find problems we may have missed, and we will work with you to get you the information or service you were trying to reach.

Where possible, please tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. You will always be able to reach our team by phone.

If you need something arranged for a visit — help getting in, a form in a different format, or anything else — tell us about a week ahead where you can, so we have time to set it up properly. If it is shorter notice than that, call us anyway and we will do what we can.
