What to Expect at Your First Orthodontic Appointment

During your first visit, one of our treatment coordinators will take orthodontic specific records (xrays and photos). After a comprehensive examination by Maui’s top orthodontist, Dr. Alex, we’ll discuss all treatment options, estimated treatment length, and the associated costs. This is a wonderful time to ask any questions you may have. We invite all parties interested in learning about treatment to join us in the consultation. We always aim to make the best use of your time. In many cases, we can start treatment the same-day as the consult to save an additional trip to the office and avoid missing school. 

If your child is not ready for treatment at this time, you will be encouraged to come for periodic appointments to monitor the growth and development of the teeth and jaws. We always aim to start treatment at the optimal time in order to minimize total treatment time and obtain the best possible result.
